Amongst the dumping of late-Summer comedies, lies Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. Whilst seeming promising in its trailers, and despite starring some of the top comedic film talents of current times, the film doesn’t quite manage to be the laugh riots it strives for. The film follows the Stangle brothers (Zac Efron and Adam…
In the modern summers where tentpoles pile upon tentpoles and multiplexes seem full to the brim of high-budget franchises, The Shallows has snuck in as a welcome breath of fresh air and throwback to the low-budget B-movie-esque films that seem to have hugely dissipated in recent years. Blake Lively carries the film as a surfer…
There’s a lot on offer this month, with a wide variety of genres available. This also includes a fair few sequels to some of your most watchable favourites…but chances are you’ll want to skip them.

The film’s plot is essentially to bring Bourne back into the spy world,…
This film, following players of an online dare game, may be a rather obvious commentary on this social media age in which people go to great (and dangerous) lengths to become insta-famous, but it is still fairly enjoyable, even with its complete lack of subtlety. The first acts of the film feel familiar, not necessarily…
Arguably one of the most anticipated films of the summer has landed with a bit of a critical thud but a box office explosion. David Ayer’s team up of DC’s super-villains is likely to draw interest from many angles and the many fans of the different characters that make up the squad. The relentless marketing campaign…
13 years we waited and now, finally, the world can be reunited with its favourite animated fish. Pixar has once again proven itself trustworthy in being able to care for and service beloved characters in a worthwhile sequel that doesn’t drag down the original. Finding Dory is set a mere year after the events of…
The final straddlers of awards films (as one of the most successful superhero films of all time) have now arrived on DVD for your at-home viewing pleasure.
